 Prompt response: Something that I will never fully understand is math. I personally think it’s so dumb and that we won’t sue any of these math problems in real life. The problems are often really hard to solve too. Summary: TODAY WAS FINAL DAY!!!!! I was truly nerves. I had been studying all day and brushing up on the past things we had been learning all year. The test was fairly easy. Some questions did puzzle me and were a little tricky. But I found out I got a 85 on it so yayyy me.  Reflection: Today we took our final and I got to refresh my brain on symbolism, free verse, personification and a recap of the Fences book we read. It was great know.edge poured back into me to remember. 

 Prompt Reponse: A special holiday memory for me was when I was living in Alabama at the time with my dad. It was one Christmas holiday were he bought me a 4-wheeler after I had been as,ong for so long. That Christmas was so magical and special and I was highly appreciative of my gift. I loved that Christmas very much.  Summary: Mr. Rease was absent again today so we had another substitute. The work was pretty easy. Same as yesterday’s work but a bit shorter.  Reflection: I learned about the value of self worth throughout these letters. 

 Prompt response: The best gift I have received is a loving and supportive family. They mean so much to me and I couldn’t have asked for a better gift.  Summary: Today Mr. Rease wasn’t here so we had a substitute. Mr. Rease left us an assignment in canvas for letters and 20-25. The assignment wasn’t too long but it helps me to better understand the book and what’s going on. Me and Alaynah worked together as well. It was a fairly easy class. I finished the class period off with doing this blog.  Reflection: I got to learn a more in depth approach of this novel. I deal,y like this book. And I wish for the better for the girls and what happened to them starting at a young age. 

 Prompt Response: A song that brings back a specific memory is “Never would have made it” by Marvin Sapp. This song brings back the memory of me getting into that car crash and it reminds me that never would have made it without god protecting through the whole accident.  Summary: Today in class we read letter 18,19,20, and 21. We completed our assignment in canvas about each of these chapters. We discussed about the importance of talking our your issues and disagreements in a relationship to keep it healthy. We finished the class period off by watching some the color purple movie.  Reflection: Today I learned about the importance of a healthy relationship. That when in disagreement I learned 5at you should talk out your emotions and frustrations with your partner. Avoiding talking out issues causes a strain in your relationship and may even lead to physical abuse. 

 Prompt response: A time that I couldn’t stop laughing was when I was watching a Kevin hart standup episode. I was watching it with my mom. Every 5 seconds I kid you not I couldn’t stop laughing. That man is hilarious. Summary: today was a fairly easy class. We finished up our color purple project videos and turnt them in. Today we began presenting them. We showed our project then discussed why we chose those images and videos to put within the project, and briefly describe the letter.  Reflection: I learned more about the letters. I also got to learn about everyone’s opinion on each chapters and their takeaways. 

 Prompt response: a fear that I have overcome is heights. I’m not scared of it anymore, it’s actually quite peaceful.  Summary: today was an easy class period. We continued working on the 2 minute project we started on the color purple book. We did this for the rest of the class period.  Reflection: my reflection is getting to understand the book on a deep level and try to understand her emotions and what went on and how her childhood was traumatic. 

 Prompt response: something that I can’t stop thinking about is the car accident that I was recently in. I have nightmares about it and during the images images of the accident scene js flash in my head and remind me all over again. Summary: Today we started class off with answering two questions to review about the first few pages have read so far. We discussed different techniques to help when taking a test like process of illumination. After that we took a 5 question pop quiz on the first few letters we read. Then we read some more of the novel. We ended class by watching a few sciences from the actual movies, and I noticed that things are different from the book.  Reflection: I took away from this book how Celia had to go through troubled times but it foreshadows how it’s gonna make her stronger in the end. Today’s class was fairly easy. My overall day was good 

 Prompt response: A time that I had to find strength despite feeling weak was when my grandma died. I tried to stay strong for my mom so we both wouldn’t do into a dark hole but I was hurting so bad and it made it worse faking smiles everyday,  Summary: Today was a pretty chill class period. We watched an into on the author is the book “The color purple”. We started reading that book today. The first few letters just had my jaw dropping every 5 seconds. It was traumatic and sad among other emotions. The things that Celia had experienced at the age of 14 was traumatizing and shocking. After, reading the first couple of letters we did a worksheet  Reflection:  Today I didn’t necessarily get a takeaway and reflection from the lesson. My overall day was good though.
