Describe a situation where you had to find strength despite feeling weak

 Prompt response: A time that I had to find strength despite feeling weak was when my grandma died. I tried to stay strong for my mom so we both wouldn’t do into a dark hole but I was hurting so bad and it made it worse faking smiles everyday, 

Summary: Today was a pretty chill class period. We watched an into on the author is the book “The color purple”. We started reading that book today. The first few letters just had my jaw dropping every 5 seconds. It was traumatic and sad among other emotions. The things that Celia had experienced at the age of 14 was traumatizing and shocking. After, reading the first couple of letters we did a worksheet 

Reflection:  Today I didn’t necessarily get a takeaway and reflection from the lesson. My overall day was good though.

 Prompt Response: A film that portrays my culture is the Pixar movie “Soul”, this movies portrays aspects of black African American culture. This film captures the vibrancy of black culture through its depiction jazz, barbershop culture and community life in New York. Soul introduces global audiences to the richness of black culture in a way that is both respectful and celebratory.  Summary: Today was an easy class. Today our task was to present our project on cultural and their stereotypes negative and positive. As I watched everyone’s presentation I learned a lot about the dangers of a single story.  Prompt: One of the most beautiful creations in the world, to me is the night sky. Whether it’s seen from a white countryside or a mountain peak far from city lights , the endless stretch of stars, planets, and galaxies is breathtaking. There’s so,tho g humbling about looking up and realizing how vast and mysterious the unvierse is. The way the stars twinkle and the moon glows. It feels really magical. It’s a strong sense of peace.  Summary: Today was good day tomorrow will be better. Today we pretty chill. We completed an Commonlit about Tigers. We answered the 3 multiple choice questions. Then completed the 2 constructed responses afterwards. We ended the class with completing our blog posts.  Reflection: Todays assignments made me think deeply.
