 Prompt response: A time that I had to take a hiatus was from my dance team. After my accident I never went back until, now. And now I’ve noticed that it’s just not the same anymore because I’m not the same anymore. The car accident truly impacted and changed  e and I’m not in the right head space to do it anymore. So I told my coach that I need a break for a while.  Summary: today class we took notes of the writing process. We talked about what clustering is and drew a vent diagram to help better understand it. We had a great example which was jobs. We finished the class period off with doing our blog post.  Reflection: Today I learned about clustering and how I can apply it to life. And how organization like this can better help me write essays. 

 Prompt Response: something that I heard that I wish I could unhear is all of the domestic violence cases of women being hurt by men. It’s so heart breaking and evil that males do this to women. I wish I could unhear the details of the cases because it’s so saddening and heart breaking. I wish better for them.  Summary: Today class was good. He allowed us to continue to make up late work. Which was time very much needed for me because I have a couple of missing assignments. We finished the class off with completing our blog posts.  Reflection: Today I learned that I have to stop procrastinating. I need to learn to do the work right then and there and nit wait till the last minute and end up stressing myself out. 

 Prompt Response: A time was when someone told me that i would never be anything. That phrase always stuck with me because it pushes me to be successful and have strong determination. It pushes me to aim high and have full confidence in myself and my decisions/dreams.  Summary : Today I read letters 46 through 50. Celie continued to grow closer to Shug Avery, Shug wrote a song for Celie. Their bond deepens. Shug finds Nettie’s hidden letters that Albert was keeping from Celie. Her letters talk about the Olinka people. Celie starts to build up her courage to confront Albert.  Reflection: I learned the importance of speaking up. Celie should have been spoken up and confronted Albert about him beating on her and treating her horribly. You should never stay in a relationship with someone like that. 

  Prompt Response: I’m not going to lie, I’ve never had a place of peace. My whole life have been chaotic and I’ve never really settled down. I’ve had to cope by myself and I’m still finding peace.  Summary:  Today from the virtual assignment I read through letters 56-60 that highlighted Celie growing empowerment, the importance of sisterhood and the impact of systemic oppression faced by black people in America. I also read about Celie confronting Albert about his abusive ways. She also decides to leave Albert.  Reflection: Today I learned more about the systematic oppression faced by African Americans. 

 Prompt Response: A time when I didn’t feel like myself was after my car accident. I became very sad and depressed all the time and constantly crying all the time. Just thinking about the accident and having bad dreams about it. Certain stuff also triggered me too. Summary: today we read chapters 46-50 individually. After that we had an assignment on canvas to complete. It was short but included a good amount of writing. After that we just chilled for the rest of the class period. Reflection: I learned how Celie and shrug and sexual interactions after struggling about three feelings towards each other. I also learned how Albert personality changed very quickly from the previous letters. 

 Prompt Response: An object that holds sentimental value to me is my journal. It’s very important to me because I write every single th8ng in there and it holds every chapter to my life and all the horrible but also good things that I’ve experienced at such a young age. My journal keeps me going everyday. To keep pushing because god has a plan for my life and I intended to live up to that plan.  Summary: Today we read a couple of Chapters of “The Color Purple” book. We then had a worksheet to complete on some of the characters and their relationships. Reflection: i learned a lot from the worksheet we completed. I learned what power dynamics are and how they affect characters decisions and actions. 

 Prompt Response: A time when I had to rely on someone else was when I had no way home after work and I had to call my guy best friend to come pick me up but he stays far so I had to wait a long time. Plus he kept falling asleep. I had to rely on him to get to me on time and take me home. Summary: Today class was smooth. We read a couple chapters of “The color Purple” book  and talked about the main topics of each chapter. Afterwards we had a short group quiz to complete on the chapters of the book. We had a fire drill mid-class lol. That was nice to get a lil break and some fresh air. Reflection: Today I learned more about the characters of the book and how power dynamics causes the characters to make aggressive and violent decisions. But also forced other characters to try and stand up for themselves and demand over them.

 Prompt Response: A moment when I had to step out my comfort zone was when I first started dancing and got in a dance team. I had to learn to stop being shy and talk to people. I also had to learn to let loose and be myself and express my emotions while I was dancing.  Summary: Today’s class was pretty chill. We read a couple chapters of “The color purple” book. We ended class by starting on our assignment. We have to make a “found” poem using quotes and phrases from the text. After that we finished class out by doing our blogs.  Reflection: Today I didn’t really learn anything from the chapters we read. 

 Prompt Response: If I were president of the United states of America I would that many things. 5 things that I would do were raise the minimum wage price and support workers rights, take care of the homeless get them off the streets, promote peace and full freedom, invest in renewable energy sources like wind and solar. And  increase funding for public schools. All of these things seek great attention in the United States of America.  Summary: Today class was pretty chill. We had an assignment on Newsela that read about president carter. It talked about what he seemed to promote peace. It talked snout him winning the Nobel peace prize. We answered questions and did a writing prompt. At the end of class we just chilled until the bell rung. Reflection: it was nice to learn more about President Carter. I didn’t really know too much about him and his presidency so it was interesting to read about the great things he did during his presidency. 

 Prompt response: A dream that I had that felt real was when I was with family and I surprised my mom and bout her a house after I got my hands on a stash of cash. I nought brand new car and took us  all on vacation. Summary: Today in class we read a couple of chapters of the Color Purple. We read about Hiw Sofia doesn’t feel sexual desires towards Mr._____ and she decides to leave Mr for a while and stay with her sister. We also learn that Sofia Beats him and she doesn’t mind him and he wants her too. Reflection: From these chapters teaches you that if you love someone then y’all shouldn’t be beating on each other because that’s not true love. No matter how bad the argument y’all shouldn’t put your hands on each other , to just walk away from the situation until things cool off. 

 Prompt Response: My holiday break was really nice. I enjoyed my time off. I went shopping, got my hair did, made new friends, went to a couple of parties and got in a lot of hours at work. I also cut off a few friends due to having to find peace within myself and certain people aren’t really routing for your through the end so you have to let those people go.  5 personal goals that I want to achieve in 2025 is 1. to be more attentive and focus better. 2. Find peace within myself and life . 3. Gain control over my anger issues. 4. Work on my saving money skills and lastly 5. Start on the future career and be successfully good at it.  I choose these goals because these are main things that I need to work on within myself as an individual. I choose these things because these little things are what could possibly lead to a downfall or cause complications and hard things if I don’t get better with them.
