Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why

Prompt Response: I’m not going to lie, I’ve never had a place of peace. My whole life have been chaotic and I’ve never really settled down. I’ve had to cope by myself and I’m still finding peace.

Summary:  Today from the virtual assignment I read through letters 56-60 that highlighted Celie growing empowerment, the importance of sisterhood and the impact of systemic oppression faced by black people in America. I also read about Celie confronting Albert about his abusive ways. She also decides to leave Albert.

Reflection: Today I learned more about the systematic oppression faced by African Americans.
