Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

 Prompt Response: A time when I had to rely on someone else was when I had no way home after work and I had to call my guy best friend to come pick me up but he stays far so I had to wait a long time. Plus he kept falling asleep. I had to rely on him to get to me on time and take me home.

Summary: Today class was smooth. We read a couple chapters of “The color Purple” book  and talked about the main topics of each chapter. Afterwards we had a short group quiz to complete on the chapters of the book. We had a fire drill mid-class lol. That was nice to get a lil break and some fresh air.

Reflection: Today I learned more about the characters of the book and how power dynamics causes the characters to make aggressive and violent decisions. But also forced other characters to try and stand up for themselves and demand over them.

Describe something that you will never fully understand

 Prompt response: Something that I will never fully understand is math. I personally think it’s so dumb and that we won’t sue any of these math problems in real life. The problems are often really hard to solve too. Summary: TODAY WAS FINAL DAY!!!!! I was truly nerves. I had been studying all day and brushing up on the past things we had been learning all year. The test was fairly easy. Some questions did puzzle me and were a little tricky. But I found out I got a 85 on it so yayyy me.  Reflection: Today we took our final and I got to refresh my brain on symbolism, free verse, personification and a recap of the Fences book we read. It was great know.edge poured back into me to remember.

Write about a place you never wanted to leave.

 Prompt response: A place I have never wanted to leave was botanical gardens when I was younger. I felt so magical and at ease there. It was so beautiful and I begged my mom to let us stay longer. I felt as if I was one with nature.  Today in class we started to learn about Indian culture. We watched two videos about things that they do in their culture. Such as how they eat with their hands and not with forks and spoons. Also learned how they only eat with their right hand and the left hand is used for other services. Next we watched a video on how they shake their head when speaking with someone. They do it as a form of communication if they don’t feel like speaking. They acknowledge each other with it such as they say thank you with wobbling their hands and they say yes and no and many other things.
