Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt Response: A time was when someone told me that i would never be anything. That phrase always stuck with me because it pushes me to be successful and have strong determination. It pushes me to aim high and have full confidence in myself and my decisions/dreams.

Summary : Today I read letters 46 through 50. Celie continued to grow closer to Shug Avery, Shug wrote a song for Celie. Their bond deepens. Shug finds Nettie’s hidden letters that Albert was keeping from Celie. Her letters talk about the Olinka people. Celie starts to build up her courage to confront Albert.

Reflection: I learned the importance of speaking up. Celie should have been spoken up and confronted Albert about him beating on her and treating her horribly. You should never stay in a relationship with someone like that.
