Write about something you’ve outgrown but still miss.

 Prompt response: Something that I’ve outgrown but miss is doing nails. I used to be somewhat good at it and I really enjoyed doing it. But as I’ve gotten older it’s just not my interest anymore. I don’t have patience like I did back then, I’ve just lost interest in it. But sometimes when I scroll on social media and see people doing nails then it makes me miss doing them sometimes. 

Summary: Today Mr. Reader was absent. Our assignment today was to take 10 out of 15 vocabulary words from the lesson 15 list and create a mini project. We had to take each 10 words, write their definitions, include a picture to represent the word, and lastly do an explanation of why the picture represents the word. Lastly we were to end class with finishing our projects and completing our blog posts.

Reflection: Todays assignment allowed me to add some new vocabulary words to my self dictionary. This will help me with academics better. Will also help when trying to speak professionally as well.

Describe something that you will never fully understand

 Prompt response: Something that I will never fully understand is math. I personally think it’s so dumb and that we won’t sue any of these math problems in real life. The problems are often really hard to solve too. Summary: TODAY WAS FINAL DAY!!!!! I was truly nerves. I had been studying all day and brushing up on the past things we had been learning all year. The test was fairly easy. Some questions did puzzle me and were a little tricky. But I found out I got a 85 on it so yayyy me.  Reflection: Today we took our final and I got to refresh my brain on symbolism, free verse, personification and a recap of the Fences book we read. Write about a place you never wanted to leave.

 Prompt response: A place I have never wanted to leave was botanical gardens when I was younger. I felt so magical and at ease there. It was so beautiful and I begged my mom to let us stay longer. I felt as if I was one with nature.  Today in class we started to learn about Indian culture. We watched two videos about things that they do in their culture. Such as how they eat with their hands and not with forks and spoons. Also learned how they only eat with their right hand and the left hand is used for other services. Next we watched a video on how they shake their head when speaking with someone. They do it as a form of communication if they don’t feel like speaking. They acknowledge each other with it such as they say thank you with wobbling their hands and they say yes and no and many other things.
