Talk about a time when you felt like you were about to lose your mind. Answer in at least a paragraph.

Prompt Response: A time when I thought I was losing my mind was when I was younger and we lived on the west side in these apartments and I kept seeing like spirits walking around in our apartment. My family just said I was young and watching too much YouTube but I knew what I was seeing. They kept walking past me as I was slowly losing my mind. I thought that maybe I was going crazy and just seeing things. Until one day my other siblings saw them too. I was about to loose my mind but what I had saw, it was creepy and ghostly like. Until my siblings saw them and I knew I wasn’t crazy and loosing my mind then.

Summary: Today we read a short book called “The yellow Wallpaper “. The story basically talked about a woman who was experiencing postpartum depression and was seeing “a women” inside the wallpaper of her bedroom. It talks about how her husband is a physician and he can’t help treating her but is trying to keep her happy. We answered a couple of open end questions about the book together as a class. We also all took turns reading. We end the class with watching the movie the yellow wallpaper. Afterwards we were left to complete our blog posts.

Reflection: I’m not sure of how I can take today’s lesson with me in life. It talked mostly about depression so there was nothing positive to take with me through life.
