Choose a word from vocabulary lesson 12 . In at least one paragraph, define the word in your own words and explain where you encountered it. Describe how understanding this word helps improve your communication or writing skills.

Prompt Response: Macroscopic. To me , I would define macroscopic as something that the human eye can visually see. I encountered this term in biology class when I was comparing macroscopic organisms like plants and insects to microscopic cells. Understanding the term macroscopic helps improve my communication and writing skills by allowing me to describe the scale of I’m talking about. It also prevents confusion when distinguishing between observations made directly. It will also improve my academic vocabulary.

Summary: Today we had an assignment to do using 15 vocabulary words from lesson 12 . Would task was to create our own sentences using all 15 of the words. After that we had to complete exercises 3 and 4 in the vocab book. We ended the class off with doing our blog posts.

Reflection: I learned a lot of new vocabulary words that I did not already know of. I can take these vocabulary words into life with me to expand my vocabulary and sound more educated.
