I f you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

 Prompt response: if I was to write an essay about my life right now it would talk about my recovery from my car accident, my struggles of career choices and the love for my family. I choose these 3 main points because it is the main topics that I’m currently dealing with right now. It plays a role in my everyday life. 

Summary: Today we took notes on how to successfully and correctly write a thesis statement. We talked about how it should be written in a formal manner. We also talked about the steps on completely a thesis statement and how it’s only 1 sentence. I was introduced to the umbrella method of a thesis statement which I have never learned about. I thought it was very interesting as a layout to write your essay and gather your thoughts in. 

Reflection: I can take this lesson about thesis statement to college with me. Knowing how to successfully and correctly write a college essay. This will take me a long way and help me write amazing college essays to give to my professors. I can also take this lesson with me when applying to jobs/ careers.

Describe something that you will never fully understand

 Prompt response: Something that I will never fully understand is math. I personally think it’s so dumb and that we won’t sue any of these math problems in real life. The problems are often really hard to solve too. Summary: TODAY WAS FINAL DAY!!!!! I was truly nerves. I had been studying all day and brushing up on the past things we had been learning all year. The test was fairly easy. Some questions did puzzle me and were a little tricky. But I found out I got a 85 on it so yayyy me.  Reflection: Today we took our final and I got to refresh my brain on symbolism, free verse, personification and a recap of the Fences book we read. Write about a place you never wanted to leave.

 Prompt response: A place I have never wanted to leave was botanical gardens when I was younger. I felt so magical and at ease there. It was so beautiful and I begged my mom to let us stay longer. I felt as if I was one with nature.  Today in class we started to learn about Indian culture. We watched two videos about things that they do in their culture. Such as how they eat with their hands and not with forks and spoons. Also learned how they only eat with their right hand and the left hand is used for other services. Next we watched a video on how they shake their head when speaking with someone. They do it as a form of communication if they don’t feel like speaking.
