Today in class we went over the I want a husband discussion questions. We discussed further into what it means to have expected gender roles. The expected roles of women in the 1979s were to cook, clean, take care of the children, wash clothes, basically household duties. Men were expected to do heavy hard work, take out trash, and more. Therese stereotypes really shaped society back then. As of todays society you still kinda see a little bit of that but now it’s more as a choice rather than and expected demand for women. This topic was very interesting and I learned a lot from it.
