 Today in class we read a poem called Incident by Countee Cullen. One of he main theme of this poem was “Words have power”. This poem talked about how the narrator was called the word “nigger” and how offensive it was to him. My overall school was honestly tiring. I didn’t get much sleep so I was basically sleep in all my classes today.   

 Today in class was an easy day. Today was Pep rally day for homecoming so we didn’t have any work today. Instead we spent the class period playing a kahoot game on current events. It was nice to pick up some things that I didn’t know about. My overall day has been very draining. Classes were easy as well. 

 Today we took our test on the book fences. It was fairly easy but some of the questions kind of tripped me by the way they were worded. I really hope I got a good grade because I also studied summary’s and things of the book in my free time as well to get a more better understanding of the events that were taken place within the novel. After I finished my test I had finished complete my fences project. I choose to do the trashcan project and I choose rose character. My overall day was veryyyy chaotic. 

 Today we finished up the last chapter of the book fences. Afterwards we analyzed each page to try to sum up the ending. I was shocked to find out that Troy had died and that the book had skipped over that and didn’t explain what happened. I was also surprised to find out that Corey didn’t go to college and play football but instead he went to the military. After that mr. rease introduced us to our “fences project” that we are going to be doing over a couple days. My overall day was kinda of drowsy I was really sleepy today. But I still did my work. 

 Today was a pretty chill class period. We finished reading the play, well almost we ran outta time with only 1 scene left. We stopped and discussed between scenes of what was happening and did some and did some verbal annotations. My overall day was pretty boring not gonna lie lol. 

 Today in class each group presented their character from the book and explained their “STEAL” analysis. This was a good assignment I really get a deeper understanding of the characters throughout the play. this is a good study resource for the play. We ended the class by reading more of the play book. And lastly we had a few questions on canvas to answer and the part we had just read. My overall day was really good. 

 In yesterday’s class it was pretty smooth. We went over some notes about characterization. Then we needed class by working on a group project about characterization on the characters from the book FENCES. My group was assigned Troy. We didn’t finish but we are finishing up in today’s class. I like this project it’s really fun. My overall day was great
